What to Prepare

Please prepare a short song (one verse and refrain) from memory. Selections from musical theater, Disney, folk songs, church songs, etc. are welcome. No pop or rock, please.

What to Bring

Please bring the sheet music for the piano accompanist, three-hole punched and in a hardcover binder.  The music must be in the key in which you plan to sing.  Please do not bring a lyric sheets with chords, a karaoke track, or sing a capella (unaccompanied).   Everynote.com, sheetmusicplus.com, and sheetmusicdirect.com are all great resources for finding sheet music. Please ask us if you need any assistance finding music.

What to Expect

In the audition, we will do some short vocal exercises (vocalises) with you, and then hear you sing the piece you have prepared. We may also ask you a few questions based on your responses in the registration and audition intake forms. Our goal is to get to know you and your voice, and to have fun! Auditions can be nerve-wracking, but we hope to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for you. Hearing everyone ahead of time will allow us to choose the songs that will best showcase the talents of our campers.

Please let us know if you have any questions about the auditions!
